let us know as soon as possible if you are unable to honor your reservation.

deposit less $25, only if we’re able to resell your

- Less than 5 days from arrival, including
early departures: non-refundable regardless of reason. In
addition, guests remain responsible for the balance of the
total reservation costs for the entire scheduled stay.
- Reservations booked with special
rates or as part of a package are also non-refundable if
cancelled.
Please note that there are no exceptions to our cancellation policies. We do understand that cancellations are often beyond your personal control and can affect you significantly financially, so we strongly advise purchasing Travel Insurance for peace of mind. Even in winter, roads leading directly to the inn are almost always accessible and passable during and immediately after winter storms so last minute weather cancellations are only accepted if the airports you are traveling through are closed, or if state police along the main driving route have closed the roads and/or are recommending travel for emergencies only. Cancellations accepted under these conditions are credited with a "snow-check" valid for 6 months. Under all other circumstances, we expect you to honor your reservation.
• Check-in: 4pm
- 9pm. Early check-ins are sometimes possible with prior notice. If you’re going to arrive later than 10pm, you'll need to call us to find out how to pick up your keys.
• Check-out: By 11am.
• Children: Well-behaved
older children who can conduct themselves appropriately in an
adult environment are very welcome. Regretfully, the inn is unsuitable
for toddlers and young babies.
• Breakfast: Our highly rated breakfasts are generally served weekends, most holidays and Fair week between 8am and 9:30am (9am on weekdays). We offer a two course set meal which changes daily. If you suffer from any food allergies or have other dietary issues that we need to know about, please help us prepare by telling us as far in advance of your arrival as possible.
• Pets: Sorry
but we can't take pets. Pebbles and Emmy, our resident cats are
happy to recommend a local boarding kennel to visiting furry
friends.
• Smoking: The inn is strictly a non-smoking
property. Smokers who render a room unacceptable for incoming
guests must compensate the inn for lost revenue. Therefore any
violation of this policy will result in cleaning fees equal to
a minimum of two night's stay plus actual charges incurred to
return the room to its prior condition. Smoking is permitted
only on the outside deck area where ashtrays are provided on
request.
Information for Families
We've had some wonderful young guests come to stay with us and
we welcome older children who are able to behave appropriately
in an adult environment.
We are not toddler-proof however, nor do we have any facilities
for babies and small children under the age of 5. When considering
whether to bring your family here, please bear in mind that
many guests visit us because of our quiet ambience and to get
away from disturbances. In consideration for them, your child(ren)
should be supervised at all times. The Snow Baby and Inuit
rooms booked together provide great accommodation for families
of up to 6 guests (add $25 per person over two per room) and
The Jo is available with two twin beds on request. Regretfully,
due to licensing regulations, we are only able to provide extra
beds in some of our rooms, so please plan well ahead especially
for reservations during the summer and fall seasons.
