• The Mt
Washington Auto Road.
Take your own vehicle up the four mile road to the summit or be driven in a van.
The road usually opens in May and closes once the first snows come and make the
road impassable for cars. The Snowcoach takes over in the winter taking visitors
up to the tree-line for an incredible taste of life on the mountain in winter!
Cassettes and CDs are available at the gate for the self-guided tour.
• Kancamagus Highway
Rte 112 links Conway in the east to Lincoln in the west
over a 34-1/2 mile scenic byway. Rising to 3000ft in places,
stop off for magnificent views of the mountains. Most take a
car but adventurous cyclists brave the hill climbs and bike
it!
• Pequawket Trail
Maine's Rte 113 from Rte 25 in Standish in the south
to Fryeburg in the North then up to Bethel (summer only). Experience
an array of historic villages and beautiful scenery.
• Evans Notch, Grafton Notch to Rangeley Lakes
Take Rte 113 north from Fryeburg through Evans Notch (closed
in winter) to Bethel, then continue on Rte 26 through Grafton
Notch to Rangeley Lakes. Watch out for Moose!
• Wildcat
Summer Gondola.
New Hampshire's highest 4-passenger gondola skyride at Wildcat
mountain opposite Mt Washington. Incredible views of the mountains.

• Conway
Scenic Railroad.
Step aboard the train for a meander through the Saco River Valley.
Take a short trip down to Conway or a longer one through Crawford
Notch to historic Fabians.
