 The Mount Washington Valley and its surroundings truly has some of the best train rides in New England.

 Join us for a two night Blueberry extravaganza celebrating Maine’s native fruit. Spend a leisurely day out in our beautiful countryside, touring local blueberry farms (maps provided) where you can pick-your-own, either large, cultivated (high-bush) varietals or the famous wild ones (the little guys). Then return to the inn for a special Blueberry Appreciation evening, where you’ll learn more about this remarkable fruit while sampling some award-winning Maine blueberry wines (which are comparable to many good reds made from grapes), accompanied by a selection of mouth-watering appetizers. Derrek, an avid home brewer, is your instructor for the weekend and will take you through the process from yeast, hops and malt to bottling, showing just how easy and economical it is to make really good beer at home.
