• The Conway Scenic Railroad offers scenic trips aboard vintage railcars ranging from just over an hour to full day tours. Dining car available on some excursions. The train also makes themed seasonal trips during Easter and the Fall and is a key player in the enormously popular Polar Express during December.

• The Mount Washington Cog Railway (pictured) was the first and oldest cog or rack railway in the world. Started in 1866, it was completed to the summit in 1869. Today you can take the "Railway to the Moon" most days from the end of April through October. Reservations are recommended and don't forget your camera and an extra sweater or jacket!

• For model train officianados everywhere, Hartmann Model Railroad and Toy Museum has everything you could possibly want. Open year round, the museum features many operating layouts, from G to Z scales all on display. If that isn't enough, the well-stocked hobby shop has everything you could possibly need to build your own layout.
